Mistwalker's first iOS game, Party Wave, is definitely one of my favorite casual arcade games of the year. Now, on October 1st, the 1.2 update for the game is going to go live, bringing with it some fantastic new additions.
Arcade Mode;
You'll be able to fight jellyfish and other characters in this timed high-score chase!
More Levels;
More levels will be added to the already included 50+ campaign mode!
Achievements;
GameCenter achievements will also be added in Version 1.2!
So, for those of you who have been waiting for another gameplay mode, more levels, or achievements, your prayers have been answered! If you haven't had a chance to pick up Party Wave, a FREE/LITE build will also go live on October 1st, as well as an Android version of the game.
You'll also have the chance to find the mysterious UFO of Hiso Alien;
"On December 2, 2010, NASA made an announcement of the discovery of a new bacteria which makes DNA with arsenic instead of phosphorus. It was quite disappointing news for many people because prior to the official announcement, we have been informed that the announcement will be about the discovery of astrobiology which could affect the quest for evidence of intelligent extraterrestrial life. On the internet, there were many speculations, such as it could be discovery of intelligent extraterrestrial life, or discovery of UFO debris. Many people were very excited and the discussion was heated.
During those hype time, Hiso Alien was born. (^^;
Recently, some researchers have been doubting the evidence for this bacteria; even its existence is shaky. At the end, Hiso Alien might be the only survivor?!"
Right now, Party Wave is available in the AppStore for $1.99. If you're into casual arcade/score-chasing games, I'd highly recommend you check it out. Developed by Mistwalker, the studio created by Hironobu Sakaguchi, creator of Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger and loads more, you're pretty much guaranteed to have a blast!
