The Last Express, Ported By DotEmu, Hits The AppStore Today!

The Last Express, created by Jordan Mechner for Windows and MAC back in 1997, appeared in the AppStore late last night. This amazing Adventure title, taking place on the Orient Express right before the start of WW1 has been called "exquisite" and "thrilling" by Newsweek, "very interesting" and a game that is for everyone by MSNBC. If that isn't enough high profile praise, it's received multiple Editor's Choice and other awards from dozens of sites around the web since it's release, as well as being named in the book 1001 Video Games You Must Play Before You Die.

Handling the port is DotEmu, who have also handled the ports for R-Type, Avenging Spirit, Earth Defense Force, Metal Slug 3, The King Of Fighters, Blazing Star and more, so you can have complete faith that The Last Express has been handled with extreme care and professionalism and, considering it was originally a computer game, should fit perfectly on the iDevice's touch screen.

You can pick up The Last Express in the AppStore right now for $4.99, and with 20+ hours of gameplay and such high praise, this is definitely a game that everyone should indeed check out, especially fans of Adventure games. If you'd like to hold off, and get some more impressions, we will be posting up a review for The Last Express as soon as we dive deeper into this touch screen adaptation. Until then, feel free to check out the trailer or just hop on over to the AppStore and pick up this amazing title ASAP!
